Keith Hoover and Family

Michael "Keith" Hoover Jr. was born to Mike and Cathy Hoover in April of 1977. He was privileged to be raised in a Christian home and was dedicated to the service of Christ as a child. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Being raised in a Christian home does not however, make you a Christian. John 3:5-6 says, "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. On November 22, 1987 The Lord Jesus Christ preformed a miracle. Keith Hoover, a boy of ten at the time realized that he was a sinner before God and that, as such he deserved to pay for that sin with his very life. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Realizing his guilt and need for a savior he called on the name of the Lord in repentance and faith and God fulfilled His end of the bargain. Keith Hoover, born a sinner, was born again. Hebrew 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)"

In April of 1992 while at a preaching conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, Keith realized the call to preach. It was not until later that he understood that every Christian is called to evangelize the world. Mark 16:15 says, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

From 1994-1998 he studied the Bible at the Mogollon Bible Institute, a ministry of Payson First Baptist Church. The faithful men that God used to teach him at this time were Pastor Mike Hoover (father), Pastor Jim Lee, and Bill Miller.

In 1998 he met a young man who would not only be a lifetime friend but, his future pastor, Anthony Garrisi. Early the next year The Lord opened the door for these two young men to go into evangelism and G.I. (God's Instruments)Evangelist was born. In April of 2000 another lifetime friend Darrell Boling joined them and over a two and a half year period God allowed them to preach in fourteen states and one foreign country. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, "And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken". G.I. Evangelist was not limited to preaching the gospel however. If a man is to truly be dedicated to God's work he must do whatever task God needs done. All three of these young men had construction experience and put it to work wherever needed for churches, or to support themselves so they could preach.

On February 3, 2001 Keith met his future wife Racheal Anne Rada. They were married October 20th of that year and God has blessed them with four beautiful children, Jennica Grace, Catelyn Alyse, Michael Abishai, and Isabel Adeline.

Keith also served as the youth pastor at Payson First Baptist Church in 2007 and 2008 and taught in the Mogollon Bible Institute in 2008.

In December of 2008 Keith became the Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist church in Union City, Indiana. His life verse is Micah 7:18, "Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy."
